Fostering cultures of belonging and achievement.
At Flor y Canto Group, our mission is to foster a world where diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) are the cornerstones of both educational and organizational environments, not just as a moral or ethical imperative but because it leads to better outcomes for individuals, organizations, and society as a whole.
Our consulting firm offers a wide range of services designed to meet the unique needs and goals of our clients. We conduct workshops and seminars, provide regular progress check-ins, and offer parent education and support to help families navigate educational challenges. For educators, we deliver professional development to enhance teaching strategies and leadership coaching to foster inclusive leadership. Our services also include focus groups to gather detailed feedback and conducting climate surveys and feedback sessions to assess organizational environments. Additionally, we engage in community engagement and partnerships to build strong external relationships. These meetings can be conducted in various formats, including one-on-one sessions, group sessions, virtual meetings, or in-person consultations.
Creating an environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued, leading to a more cohesive, productive, and harmonious community or workplace. This is accomplished by building trust and vulnerability across teams, doing the work of looking at unconscious bias, the history of racism, systems of inequity and our own racial identities. We didn’t create the circumstances we find ourselves in, but we have the power to change it.

Effective Instructional Practices
Whether we are looking at content areas, mindset or instructional practices, the bottom line is that there are more effective approaches to learning than others. In our sessions we focus on culturally-relevant and student-centered teaching that has a proven record of increased student achievement.
Latine History and Culture
Latine people are the descendants of communities that have been here for thousands of years. Centering our indigeneity, we recognize that we make up 1 in 5 of every person in the United States, yet representation in media, government and leadership is minimal. Our sessions examine and celebrate Latine people, our history, our resilience, our resistance and our contributions.
“Angelina is a joyful, skilled, and down-to-earth presenter who brings a wealth of knowledge to every session. She creates safe spaces that foster immediate trust and openness, allowing us to focus directly on our core purpose.”
